A&E planning new ‘Coma’ miniseries in Atlanta

The original “Coma” from 1978 starred Michael Douglas. Atlanta has vampires, werewolves and zombies crawling all over town. Now A&E is retelling the classic Robin Cook bestseller “Coma” and 1978 Michael Douglas film in mini-series form, featuring mysterious goings on at a  fictional Atlanta hospital that is causing an unusual number of coma victims. The series will be shot here in Atlanta though A&E isn’t offering details beyond the fact it’s set for airing Memorial Day weekend, 2012.
