‘Dallas’ week two ratings include good news and bad news

On TV “Dallas,” 9 p.m. Wednesdays, TNT. TNT did not send out a press release about “Dallas” ratings after the second week episode came out this past Wednesday. There’s a reason why: ratings dropped alarmingly from the first week: about 30 percent in total viewers. But there is mitigating good news: the number of viewers in the advertiser-friendly demo dropped only 13 percent, from a 1.5 to 1.3 rating. And among 18-to-34 year olds, ratings actually went up. Interestingly, many of the older viewers who came to revel in nostalgia dropped out. Week one, the show opened at a solid 6.9 million viewers… >>
