Deborah Cox Wows Pride, Wynter Gordon Brings Chill to Crowd @ Piedmont Park

The Coca-Cola stage was on fire Saturday night for Atlanta Pride, with Alexis Jordan, DEMIZES, Wynter Gordon and Deborah Cox closing out the night…
Atlanta resident Alexis Jordan belted out ‘Happiness‘ and ‘Good Girl,’ before DEMIZES, who performed three encores with backup dancers wearing what looked like black trashbags. The high-energy group left the crowd wondering WTF after closing with Beyonce‘s ‘Run the World (Girls).’
Wynter Gordon, fresh off the heels of her new album, ‘With the Music I Die EP,’ told the crowd her voice wasn’t feeling well and only sang about two songs – but none of her dance favorites like ‘Til Death‘ or ‘Buy My Love.’
We reached out to her rep for an explanation, but are still waiting for a reply. Gordon’s ‘performance’ was strange… if she really wasn’t feeling well, why come out at all?
She sounded fine, belting out long notes. And why did the Atlanta Pride Committee promote her so much as a headliner?
Deborah Cox announced she will star in as Josephine Baker in a new musical on Broadway. She opened slow, but gained traction with the crowd as the night went on.
Cox performed most of her dance favorites like ‘Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,’ but skipped crowd favorite ‘Easy As Life.’ ‘Can you believe the size of this crowd?’ Cox exclaimed, as the park was packed, easily the size of an arena.
