In an interview I did with Ryan Seacrest back in the early days of “Idol,” he had very specific ambition: to emulate Dick Clark on camera and behind the camera. Sadly, Clark has died of a heart attack. He was 82. TMZ broke the story and it has been confirmed by other outlets. For anyone over the age of 30, Clark became a true pop culture institution.
