Fox renews ‘The X Factor’ for a second season

No word if the same judges will be back, but “X Factor” will return season two in 2012. CREDIT: Fox The first round isn’t even close to over yet, but Fox is confident enough in “The X Factor” to give it a second season. The $5 million Simon Cowel l-run singing competition show has given Fox a fall ratings lift, even if it has fallen short of early projections and is drawing about half the audience of  “American Idol.” (Its live+7, which includes DVR usage average to date has been 13.7 million and a 4.7 18-49 rating, according to Deadline Hollywood .)… >>
