With all the excitement surrounding Wednesday evening’s elegant gala in honor of the retiring Channel 2 anchor Monica Pearson I managed to overlook honors for another local journalist: 750 AM/95.5 FM News/Talk WSB assistant program director Condace Pressley . Shoot! Compounding the tragedy, this happened right in my back yard (*hangs head in shame*). Marietta Mayor Steve “Thunder” Tumlin (a member of my church!) honored Pressley yesterday and proclaimed July 11 Condace Pressley Day in the city because of the contributions she has made to Marietta and Georgia.
