In more “there’s not enough money” news, MARTA chief Beverly Scott is telling the Georgia legislature that they’re at least $2.3 billion dollars short in funds needed to maintain Atlanta’s light rail system over the next 10 years. Yes, that’s $2.3 BILLION dollars. Now over 30 years old, MARTA is funded by passenger fares and a 1 cent sales tax in Fulton and Dekalb counties.
