Shaq hopes to be called ‘Dr. O’Neal’ next year
Shaquille O’Neal timed his retirement well. Even if he had wanted to play a 20th year, the current lockout situation would have left him on the sidelines with everybody else. Not that the 39 year old is twiddling his very big thumbs post retirement. He still has a brand to burnish. Sure, his new gig as analyst on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” in Atlanta is on hold. But he’s finishing up his dissertation to receive a doctorate in psychology at Barry University in Miami. His memoir “Shaq Uncut” hit stores Nov. 15.
