Skylar Grey: ‘Invisible’ (First Listen)
Singer/songwriter Skylar Grey is responsible for co-writing some of the most memorable songs over the past year.
Among her most recent credits are Eminem’s ‘Love the Way You Lie,’ Dr. Dre’s ‘I Need a Doctor,’ Lupe Fiasco’s ‘Words I Never Said,’ ‘T.I.’s ‘Castle Walls, and Diddy Dirt Money’s ‘Coming Home,’ that she performed with the group on ‘American Idol‘ this season.
Grey took to the BMI stage at Lollapalooza to perform previously unheard songs from her forthcoming album, revealing that track names had not yet been released. Later in the evening, Grey joined Eminem on stage for his set.
Recently, Grey announced that her dream collaboration with Marilyn Manson came to fruition for her debut album, as Manson is the featured mystery guest on the track ‘Can’t Haunt Me,’ where the two sing about the horror trend of the moment – zombies.
I have been a fan of Marilyn Manson for years, and now he has exceeded all my expectations as an artist and a person. It has been a mind expanding experience and a dream come true to add this icon to my list of collaborations.”
