Clermont Lounge a hit with celebs who visit Atlanta
Morgan Freeman and one of the Clermont’s bartenders pose for a photo next to the “no cameras” sign. Ratings update: Leno beats Kimmel in first face-to-face; soft opening for TBS’s ‘Cougar Town’
Jimmy Kimmel moves to 11:35 a.m. on ABC. CREDIT: ABC Jimmy Kimmel’s first 11:35 p.m. show on ABC last night opened at a solid 3.1 million viewers but fell short of NBC “Late Night With Jay Leno” by 200,000 viewers. He did beat his childhood late-night hero David Letterman on CBS by 200,000 viewers. As noted in this Wall Street Journal story, one night hardly tells the story. This will be a long-term battle. Al Gore to speak at Savannah Book Festival in February
AP Former Vice President Al Gore , the environmentalist author and filmmaker who just sold his Current TV network to Al-Jazeera for $500 million , will speak at the 2013 Savannah Book Festival. His appearance is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Feb. 16 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Telfair Square. “No photos or recording are permitted” during his remarks, according to festival organizers.
