Meet “Beautiful Creatures” cast members tonight

In a small town full of teen angst, a spooky new student shows up at the high school. A little pasty but eerily attractive, the student hails from a quirky family that tends to keep to itself. Hannah Thomas, a 22-year-old native of Covington, Ga., has spent the last few years touring the East Coast and establishing herself as a mainstay on the local music scene. Last year, she won the Georgia Lottery’s All Access Music Search — impressive because she started as one of thousands of contestants competing for the prize of recording an EP at Capitol Records in Los Angeles. Clermont Lounge a hit with celebs who visit Atlanta

Morgan Freeman and one of the Clermont’s bartenders pose for a photo next to the “no cameras” sign. Morgan Freeman , Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline all showed up at Atlanta’s Clermont Lounge while they were in town filming scenes for the movie “Last Vegas,” which wrapped last month. Kicks 101.5 lets go program director Mark Richards

Mark Richards, one of the longest-running program directors in town, is out at country station Kicks 101.5. He survived two regime changes. He joined the station early 2003 when ABC owned Kicks, survived the switch to Citadel in 2007, then lasted another 16 months under the latest Cumulus ownership change. While the station has been the dominant country station in Atlanta for much of the past decade, 94.9/The Bull has given Kicks a serious kick in the rear the past six years. Al Gore to speak at Savannah Book Festival in February

AP Former Vice President Al Gore , the environmentalist author and filmmaker who just sold his Current TV network to Al-Jazeera for $500 million , will speak at the 2013 Savannah Book Festival. His appearance is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Feb. 16 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Telfair Square. “No photos or recording are permitted” during his remarks, according to festival organizers. Al-Jazeera, the Pan-Arab news channel owned by the government of Qatar, expands its reach to about 50 million homes by acquiring Current.
