The ‘A-List: Dallas’ Is A Hot Mess

Now that the ‘A-List: New York‘ is nearing the end of it’s trainwreck (see our interviews with Rodiney and Reichen), we thought we’d give you a sneak-preview of what’s comin’ down the track next… ‘The A-List: Dallas.’

Although the ‘A-List: New York’ is a bit (ok a lot) unrelatable to those of us in the ATL (except for Nyasha who looks like an Atlanta drag queen), the ‘A-List: Dallas’ has a lot more in common with Atlanta, including Southern Baptists, trust fund babies, and Republicans.

They say they also suffer from ‘Dallatude,’ which is pretty much the same as ‘Atlantatude,’ only without the cowboy hats. Will be interesting to see how this rodeo does.

Meet the cast of ‘The A-List: Dallas,’ premiering October 10th on Logo…

Levi is a gay cowboy who used to compete in rodeos before he shattered his lower back. Now he helps run his family’s ranch. ‘From rodeo to CFO,’ as he says. Possibly the most cocky and self-absorbed ‘A-List: Dallas’ castmember, but we’re just getting started…

Taylor is a Christian republican who owns a fundraising consulting business. His job is to convince Dallas’ wealthy to contribute to campaigns he’s working for, like legalizing gay marriage. He was raised Southern Baptist and reads the Bible regularly on his iPad.

James is self-proclaimed party boy who doesn’t wait in line and gets drinks handed to him ‘everywhere I go.’ That’s probably because he’s a trust-fund baby whose AMEX statement ‘reads like an adventure novel.’ And like most trust-fund babies, he drinks… a lot.

Ashley is from the same small town as Taylor, and ‘loves her gays.’ She shares the same religious values because she also grew up Southern Baptist, but believes religion divides people. Ashley loves to ‘embrace the rainbow’ by shopping for things with bright colors when she’s not working as a wedding photographer. She’s the only girl in the cast, but unlike Nyasha on ‘The -List: New York,’ Ashley is married… to an actual straight guy.

Phillip is “one of Dallas’ [self-proclaimed] hottest personal stylists.’ He considers it a blessing to be able to play with dresses and wants to be ‘seen and heard at all times.’

Chase is the most Atlanta of them all, complete with pink Lacoste shirt in the first episode. He’s in real estate finance and well, it’s ‘complicated with lots of math.’ But hey he ‘went to college for it,’ so his clients are for sure in good hands!? His hair, however, is not.

As Ashley says day one, ‘the storm’s a comin’…”
