Third Day’s Mac Powell to try solo route
Photo: Getty Images Third Day frontman Mac Powell will try the solo thing this summer with the release of a self-titled country album. The first single from the album, which bows Aug. 21, is “June Bug,” which he released last month through his Twitter account (@macpowell). Powell said he’s always loved country music and produced the record with multi-instrumentalist Jason Hoard, who has toured with Third Day since 2010.
