Tim and Eric turn Adult Swim show into film ‘Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie’
When Atlanta cable network Adult Swim started 10 years ago, it focused on animation but has since added more and more live-action programming. The 5-year-old absurdist sketch comedy show “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” — featuring Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim — was one of the earlier successes. Now the two Pennsylvania natives are getting their day in the cinematic spotlight, a full-length film called “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie,” which opened last weekend in limited release and earned $87,000 on 24 screens for a respectable $3,645 per screen take.
