For more than 25 years, Regis Philbin has been a fixture at the 9 a.m. hour, dishing with Kathie Lee Gifford , then Kelly Ripa , on whatever was on his mind at that moment. But this Friday, he will close shop on a show that has defined him. This doesn’t mean he’s leaving TV. The indefatigable 80 year old will certainly seek other work.
